What stands out about this UK hiphop double-act, outside of an impressive range of vocal, dj, production, songwriting and instrumental skills, is the fresh yet classic feel of their music. Transatlantic despite it's UK roots, their sound contains a healthy dose of surreal humour combined with the kind of of old-school, funk-based, positive block-party vibes perfect for hiphop enthusiasts of all age-groups.

At the centre of this mix lie infectiously catchy hooks and call-and-answer choruses laced with live mc’ing, human beatboxing, percussion and turntablism for maximum crowd involvement.

CARPETFACE & AUDIBLE1 have toured extensively, playing over 700 live sets in the last 6 years alone, with club, uni, festival and radio performances all over the world including all over the UK and a further 14 tours abroad covering both coasts of the USA, SPAIN, FRANCE, SWITZERLAND, GERMANY, POLAND, SOUTH AFRICA, GAMBIA, UGANDA and JAPAN.

Supporting a diverse range of major acts including DE LA SOUL, UGLY DUCKLING, THE PHARCYDE, DJ FORMAT, THE FEELING, MR SCRUFF, BREAKESTRA, KAISER CHIEFS, THE VERVE, KT TUNSTALL, DJ YODA, SNOW PATROL, BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB, KEANE, FREESTYLERS and DIRTY SANCHEZ.

The boys have been knocking audiences sideways with their cross-genre appeal and winning over an international audience in the process.

REVIEWS : CARPETFACE & AUDIBLE1 : “THE BABOON SHAMPOO EP”

“Five stunning tracks from the album on the Baboon Shampoo EP to keep us excited for more music next year....It’s clear from this EP that they are highly energetic and have a lot of enjoyment playing music and this factor alone makes a huge difference. The upbeat tracks are really upbeat, lively and danceable whilst the slower songs retain even more funk than a seventies roller disco.... ...incredibly simple songs written perfectly...What really strikes me is their level of professionalism and originality that a lot of modern music lacks. All instruments, sound effects and every last lyric has its place in the song giving you the same satisfaction as completing a 5000 piece puzzle of a plate of beans. The EP is consistent and a lot of care has gone into its production from the second they started writing songs to the moment the last mix was mastered...This is everything a record needs – professionalism, good production, originality and not taking life too seriously. “Having sampled the delights of this new five-track EP, then i’m pretty keen to not just get hold of the new album Land Of The Gooseneck Steppers, but also the debut long player as well.... Having shared stages with the likes of Ugly Duckling, DJ Format, The Pharcyde, Mr Scruff, Breakestra and De La Soul, it’s not a huge surprise to find out how good they are...this UK hip hop duo have produced an EP that is fresh, contains some great beats and has real head nodding qualities, helped along by good variation in the vocal flow..., i’m now really looking forward to hearing much more from this duo” THEBEATSURRENDER.co.uk

“There is no doubt that these two hip-hop purists are very talented both individually and, when combined....They lay down all the qualities that enable you to understand why they are one of the most exciting UK acts in this field. SHOUT4MUSIC.com

“This 2-piece hiphop extravaganza from the UK have a new live set that has to be seen to be believed. ..their sound has the oldschool vibes of that golden block-party era of hiphop so sadly missing from most of today's acts. ALTITUDE FESTIVAL (France)
